This is a rare, early morning rainbow framing the Reisig Seeds seed facility.

This is the first step in cleaning seed. Wheat is put through the seed cleaner on the right to separate out large particulate and foreign matter. Then, it goes through the length grader on the left which pulls out weed seeds and shriveled and broken wheat kernals that are not suitable for planting.

Seedbagging area

After the seed is cleaned, it is elevated into overhead bins where it is gravity fed to a bagger or can be bulk loaded directly onto a truck. The bagger weighs and augers the seed into a specially designed valve pack bag. Bags are palletized and plastic wrapped for shipment.
Seed Treater tumbler

If desired, the seed wheat can be treated with a fungicide. This state-of-the-art treating machine tumbles the seed to evenly coat each kernal.

Seed being loaded into a truck for planting

Treated seed is conveyed into a truck to be taken to a field for planting. The treated seed is colored red so it is not confused with food wheat.

Wheat into the bin Scale

A 70-foot long truck scale is located alongside the seed plant for easy loading and weighing of trucks and semi-trailers.
