Who Makes It: AgriPro
Pedigree: Jagger and AgriPro experiementals
This wheat is good for: Eastern Kansas, North of I-70 & South of I-80
Notes: It will tolerate limited grazing.

Art is an oldie but a goodie. Released in 2007, it is still performing very well in Central and Eastern Kansas. Like its parent Jaggar, it is moderately susceptible to the new strain of stripe rust, however, if treated with a fungicide, it performs well. Art does not tiller well if it is planted too late, especially if it gets cold soon after planting. It is imperative to get this variety in the ground in a timely fashion.

Art shows excellent resistance to most diseases including soilbourne mosiac as well as stem, leaf and stripe rusts. While it is susceptible to Barley Yellow Dwarf, a high rate of insecticide seed treatment can help control this.

Well-suited to irrigation or dry land farming, this high yielding wheat is excellent for the entire state of Kansas, southern Nebraska, northern Oklahom and southeastern Colorado. Art is tolerant to acidic soils and has a better than average tolerance to scab.
