This WestBred variety is grown throughout Kansas and in eastern Colorado, southern Nebraska and the panhandles of Oklahoma and Texas. This early maturing, short wheat has excellent leaf rust resistance and good resistance to stripe rust. It has excellent straw strength and is moderately resistant to shattering. While Santa Fe does not have a good tolerance to drought conditions, it has excellent yield potential under good conditions.
