Jagalene is widely adapted to Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Eastern Colorado and the panhandle of Texas. It is a strong, consistent performance across a wide range of environments including both dryland and irrigation farming. Jagalene is very drought tolerant and has large kernels with high test weights.

Jagalene is susceptible to Powdery Mildew, Leaf Rust and Hessian Fly, however has good stripe rust resistance. Fungicide applications resulted in big yield increases in Jagalene in some cases. It is tolerant to acid soils, has very good grazing potential, and good straw strength.

Strengths:

* Excellent yield potential
* Very good grazing potential
* Very good test weights
* Good straw strength
* Exceptional milling and baking quality

Weaknesses
